Earlier this year, the Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2009 (CHIPRA) was signed into law by President Obama.  In addition to covering an additional 4.1 million children, the law contains several provisions that directly impact health centers and the patients they serve, including the establishment of a Prospective Payment System (PPS) for health centers similar to the one in Medicaid.
