An onsite Assessment Program in the areas of billing and collections will provide health centers with an objective analysis of their performance and could assist them with identifying specific system design improvements that could result in increased revenues. Assessment modules will include a coding audit, claims review, staffing functions, collection history, patient billing procedures, and denied claims procedures. The Assistance Program would provide specific recommendations for improving processes that would result in increased cash flow. The Billing & Collections System Assessment and Assistance Program would be offered to health centers as an onsite service, and would be on a cost-sharing basis.
