Note: NACHC is moving ahead with plans for the 2009 Farmworker Health Conference in San Antonio, Texas and also monitoring developments regarding outbreaks of swine influenza A (H1N1). The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has issued a formal declaration of a Public Health Emergency (PHE). The declaration of a PHE is a tool to facilitate a timely and effective mobilization in response to the virus and is not a cause for panic. We remain in close communication with federal and state officials, and will do everything possible to ensure the safety and comfort of our attendees and keep them informed.  We have no reason to believe that the scheduled conference should be cancelled, given the current Centers for Disease Control (CDC) notices on travel with regard to the H1N1 situation available at:
http://wwwn.cdc.gov/travel/contentSwineFluUS.aspx

You may also stay informed by checking the NACHC web site for updates.
