Bipartisan Senate Finance Vote Breathes Life Back Into Reform:

“After a record three weeks spent marking up the America’s Healthy Futures Act of 2009, the Senate Finance Committee voted 14-9 to approve the bill as modified and report it out of committee.” – Alex Sange, Health Centers on the Hill

CALL TO ACTION:

“One provision in the health reform legislation in the House of Representatives would create a Public Health Investment Fund, which would provide $12 billion in new guaranteed health center funding over 5 years. We are asking those of you with Democratic Members of the House to ask your Representative to support the House Public Health Investment Fund.” – NACHC advocacy alert

Seven 'Thens' to Go:

“The closer we come to the final enactment of health reform, the more difficult and challenging our advocacy will become.... We need every single health center supporter to be an active advocate. Join us at the NACHC Grassroots Action Center and on Facebook and take action. Then, you won’t regret what you didn’t do.” – from Marc Wetherhorn’s blog on the outlook going forward, Health Center Advocacy in Action
